We turned a crane rental operation run on Excel spreadsheets into cloud software with work order, customer account, fleet and reporting modules.
A job tracking system built specifically for one crane company grew into an industry platform that is installed for each company with its own server and database.
The company tracked work orders, customer receivables and payables, staff salaries and subcontractor vehicles in separate Excel sheets. Profitability per crane and scheduling conflicts were impossible to see.
First, a job tracking system was built specifically for the company, and the existing Excel data was imported. It was then extended with modules for subcontractor vehicles, long-term rentals and monthly progress billing, checks and promissory notes, and quotes. The model shifted to a separate installation for each company, and an AI assistant that works over Telegram was added.
An API-based backend and relational database with a server-rendered web interface; a separate, isolated installation for each company.
