Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Canter – Multilingual Plastic Surgery Website

We turned an old site split across two WordPress installations and full of ready-made theme content into a new, trilingual, appointment-focused website that presents the surgeon, his areas of expertise and 62 procedures under one roof. The design and code are entirely our own; the content was migrated from the real content of the old site, and no medical information was added.

The old site was two separate WordPress installations posing as one: the homepage sat in a subfolder and only opened after two redirects, and not a single link on the homepage led to the 165 pages that held the actual content. The sitemap submitted to Google described a different site from the one visitors saw.

The theme's demo content had never been removed: off-topic medical articles, sample dental and eye clinic pages, and shop and cart pages were indexed under the surgeon's name. Pages had no main heading (H1), zooming was disabled, most images lacked descriptions, and security support for the server software had ended years earlier. The audit on 21 September 2026 put the SEO health score at 31 out of 100.

• Original design: A calm, warm-toned design that builds trust and puts the surgeon, his specialty and two clear actions (appointment request, WhatsApp) on the first screen.
• Content migration: Both old installations were crawled in full; the real content was reorganised into 7 treatment categories, 62 procedure pages with Q&As and 25 knowledge-centre articles. Theme demo content was removed and no medical information was added.
• Three languages: Turkish, English and Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout for Arabic. The language switcher takes visitors to the same page in the other language.
• URL migration: Old URLs redirect in a single step, permanently (301), to their new equivalents, preserving accumulated search value.
• Trust signals for medical content: The structured data of treatment pages names Prof. Dr. Canter as author and reviewing physician, with the last review date; physician, clinic, procedure and Q&A markup and llms.txt were added.
• Appointment flow: Appointment request form, WhatsApp, online consultation and 3D simulation pages. Requests are passed to the clinic's patient management system together with source and campaign information.
• Content management: Content is edited in the clinic's own management system; once published, the site updates within seconds. The site itself has no separate admin panel or login page.
• Speed and accessibility: Pages are pre-built; videos and the map load only on click, and analytics and advertising cookies run only with consent.

A modern web stack with pre-built pages and no database or admin panel on the site. Content is pulled from the clinic's management system; if that system is unreachable, the site keeps running on its latest content snapshot. Security headers and enforced HTTPS are in place.

• Measured once on the home page with the Lighthouse mobile profile: the old site on 21 September 2026, the new live site on 24 October 2026.
• Performance 53 → 84, accessibility 82 → 97, best practices 96 → 100, SEO 92 → 100.
• Home page weight 10.7 MB → about 660 KB; requests to the server 175 → 41; first contentful paint 4.6 s → 1.4 s. Layout shift (CLS) 0.
• The sitemap lists 318 URLs in 3 languages; old URLs permanently redirect to their new equivalents.
